Why missing data handling matters

Business documents often require facts that may not be available in the brief. Without controls, AI systems may fill gaps too confidently. NxtDocument gives users options for how missing information should be handled.

Use reasonable assumptions

This mode allows the system to infer reasonable values where appropriate. Assumptions should be clearly stated and reviewed by the user.

Use placeholders

Placeholder mode avoids inventing facts by marking missing values such as [To be provided], [Insert owner], or [Confirm date].

Source-backed mode

Source-backed mode uses only the user brief and provided references for factual claims. Unsupported details can be marked as [Source needed].
